The Andalucia Bike Race will start in 2022 with the KMC duo Tim Smeenge and Teus Ruijter. It is the twelfth edition of the Spanish race and the route consists of six stages and takes the riders over 358 kilometers and 11,156 vertical meters. The race, to be held from February 21 to 26, will start in Jaén, continue in Andújar, Villafranca de Córdoba, and celebrate its last two stages in Córdoba.
“I have looked at the route maps and the course of this edition will be very demanding physically and technically, but also very varied, with a varied landscape and surface. So every day is a different challenge. I rode the Swiss Epic with Teus last year and now I’m looking forward to racing this stage race with him under the Spanish sun.”, said Smeenge.
