In a hard edition of the beachrace in Rockanje Rozanne Slik finished second behind Tessa Neefjes today. Shortly followed by Mirjam de Bruijn and Karen Brouwer on third and fourth place.
‘Unfortunately I fell and damaged my shifting equipment so I couldn’t shift properly anymore. On top of that the rain and wind made it really cold and in the last part of the race I could hardly feel my fingers. So second place was the maximum achievable result.’, stated a cold Slik after the finish.
Bram Rood was part of the leading men group but the circumstances made him cool down as well in the last lap and fifteenth place was his share followed by Martin Schuttert at 33th place.
