Both KMC-Fruit to Go duo’s nearly missed the podium yesterday but they made it up today by finishing third. ‘Today Bram and I performed on the same level and that’s what brings you to the best result. On our way we saw some zebras and springbiks so that was a reward as well beside the podium finish.’, stated Mos. Again the stage was won by South African duo Alan Hatherley and Matthew Beers followed by Nico Bell and Gawie Combrinck. In the mixed category Karen Brouwer and Ramses Bekkenk rode a strong race as well. ‘Although the start climb was really steep I found my pace afterwards and with some help from Ramses we took the third place.’, stated Brouwer. After todays stage both KMC-Fruit to Go duo’s are placed in third position in the General Classification. Tomorrow’s stage will lead the riders up-country towards George.
