Karen Brouwer goes for the Silvretta MTB Queen title

In Austrian Montafon and Ischgl Karen Brouwer will have a tough week starting end of july. First she will ride the 130 kilometer long Montafon marathon with over 4500 altimeters on 28th of July. On Thursday she will start in the Ischgl Iron Bike Festival. This is a three days stagerace with a evening clim time trial, a short track race and a final marathon. Both races in Montafon and Ischgl will lead the riders across the Silvretta pass and winner of covering classification will be crowned to Silvretta MTB Queen.

‘The marathon in Montafon will be my longest ride ever and the one in Ischgl the one with most altimeters in a relative short distance. Sometimes you have to get out of your comfort zone and go for other type of races. An advice my teammate Ramses Bekkenk gave me when we raced Cape Pioneer together.’, stated Brouwer with a wink to Bekkenk.
